What is the difference between a semicolon and a comma?

  1. A Semi-Colon is to show that one part of the sentence is ending and a new part is beginning. It looks like a period on top of a comma. While the colon looks like just two plain dots on top of each other. The colon says that you will introduce what you just talked about previously. - Dana Martinez

  2. What's the difference between the semicolon and the COMMA, not the colon. Please put it in your own words.
